Hey! I'm Greta!
I'm the owner and primary photographer at From the Hip. In 2013, I moved my photography business from the small South Georgia town I was born and raised in to Atlanta. I enjoy what I do because I genuinely like people. It's important to me to always be open and accepting of who you are and YOUR idea of the perfect day. I love that every wedding is different, and I'm a fan of weirdness in general, so the quirkier, the better as far as I'm concerned!
In no particular order, here's some stuff I like:
Music. Upbeat indie pop and over the top 70s glam are at the top of my list! I'm reeeeally obsessed with Freddie Mercury. Most people, even if they only know me a little, know this.
Books. I like all kinds of books. I especially love middle grades fiction and dystopian fiction. Which is kind of funny, because in real life, i'm the most glass-is-half-full, drama-free person you could meet.
Movies. I really love cult classics and musicals (and cult classic musicals)! And Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Modern art and editorial photography. And good album art. I could browse indie record albums all day just for the album art.
TV. I have very strange taste in TV though. I don't really "get" most modern TV. My favorite series are Twin Peaks, Monk, Freaks and Geeks, Dr. Who, Sherlock, Murder She Wrote, and the Waltons. So I'm basically 60 years old.
